Your safari guide will pick you up from your Arusha hotel early in the morning. The journey to the northern Serengeti is a long one, but the scenery is spectacular as you pass through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and onto the vast plains. The moment you enter the park, your journey transforms into a game drive, where you will begin spotting a variety of resident wildlife. You'll arrive at your camp in the Kogatende region in the late afternoon.

These two days are completely dedicated to the main event: the Mara River crossing. You will wake up early each morning to follow the herds with your expert guide, who will position you in the best possible spots to witness the dramatic spectacle. Watching thousands of wildebeest and zebra plunge into the river, braving the lurking crocodiles and strong currents, is an unforgettable sight. You will spend the entire day in the bush, maximizing your time with the herds and enjoying a packed lunch.

After a final morning game drive in the northern part of the park, you will begin your journey south toward the Central Serengeti (Seronera region). This drive is a fantastic game viewing opportunity in itself, as the central plains are famous for their high concentration of predators like lions, leopards, and cheetahs. You will arrive at your central camp in the late afternoon.

You will enjoy a morning game drive in the Central Serengeti to spot any wildlife you may have missed. After breakfast, you will drive toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Along the way, you can choose to make an optional stop at the Olduvai Gorge, a famous archaeological site, or visit a Maasai village. You'll arrive at your lodge located on the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater, offering magnificent views.

Today you will descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the world's largest intact volcanic caldera. The crater floor is a unique ecosystem with an incredibly high density of wildlife, including all of the "Big Five." You will spend the entire day on a game drive within the crater, enjoying a picnic lunch by a hippo pool.

After a final breakfast, you will begin the drive back to Arusha. The drive takes approximately 3-4 hours and offers a last glimpse of the Tanzanian countryside. You will be transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) for your international flight home, filled with memories of an unforgettable safari.
