4 DAYS TANZANIA GIANT ELEPHANT SAFARI (Tarangire NP, Ngorongoro CA & Manyara NP)

After the triumph of your Kilimanjaro ascent or upon your arrival in Tanzania, your safari adventure with Kilimanjaro Escapes begins. This day is dedicated to your first immersive experience in the African wilderness. You will be greeted by your expert guide and driver, who will provide a brief orientation before you set off for your first safari destination. As we travel, the bustling life of Arusha/Moshi town gives way to a landscape of open plains and distant mountains, building a sense of anticipation for the wildlife to come.

Transfer from Arusha/Moshi to Tarangire followed by game drive. You'll start your journey from your Arusha/Moshi hotel or Kilimanjaro/Arusha Airport, embarking on a scenic 3-hour drive to Tarangire National Park. Once there, a full-day game drive awaits, accompanied by a satisfying hot lunch within the park. Later, the drive continues to your overnight accommodation for dinner and stay.

The Tarangire National Park park is a haven for wildlife, boasting herds of up to 300 elephants, scraping the river beds for elusive streams. Witness nomadic wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, and an array of antelope congregating around shrinking lagoons. It holds the highest concentration of wildlife beyond the Serengeti, a paradise for predators. Here, unique species like the elegant fringe-eared oryx and the distinctive long-necked gerenuk are commonly sighted—a rarity elsewhere in Tanzania. Moreover, Tarangire is the exclusive park where migratory animals find refuge during the dry season, welcoming a diverse range of species back home.

After an early breakfast, descend to the crater floor for game drive(5 hours). You can expect to see lions, elephants, Zebras, Hippos, Flamingos, Jackals, Rhinos Antelopes and many birds. The birds seen here include eagle, vulture, and flamingos in the Crater Lake, stork, bats, giant vulture, sacred ibis, kori bustard, blacksmith plover, long necked heron and the cattle eagle. Post the picnic lunch at the beautiful Hippo pool, you will begin a steep ascend to the top exit of the crater. With a 2hr drive left to your accommodation in Karatu, the day will come to a close. Freshly made delicious dinner is kept ready for you at your chosen accommodation. All these days of the safari, will have you quite tired and a good rest is essential. The final day of your safari will begin as usual by 8:00 AM after a luscious breakfast. The destination for today Lake Manyara National Park where you will have a half day game drive and then continue to drive to your accommodation in Arusha for overnight stay or we will drop you off at the airport for travel back home.
